Monitoring of some environmental pollutants and aflatoxin M1 in organic and conventional milk

Both organic milk and conventional milk are safe for the residues analysed, in spite of the higher M1 aflatoxin concentration found in organic milk.Thee extra-cost of organic products should be intended as the price to be paid for a production system more respectful of animals and the environment and, therefore a little less productive than the conventional one. 0rganic producers should ímprove harvestìntg technology to be able to avoid the growth of moulds.
