Abstract

In this work we extend to mixed anion pseudoternary AGa2(SxSe1-x)4 defective compounds the study of mixed crystal lattice dynamics. Anion cross substitution affects the spectral distribution to a deeper extent than cation substitution. Nonresonant Raman scattering gives evidence of mode-mode coupling of A symmetry modes and of unusual two mode behaviour of Γ zincblende derived highest frequency LO modes. In resonant conditions the breathing modes seem to antiresonate, while the higher frequency LO modes show Fröhlich activated forbidden resonant Raman scattering.
