A proposito della ripetizione della Ripetizione differente: il reenactment delle mostre

More and more often some art exhibitions are nothing else than the revival of exhibitions already made in earlier years. Starting with a critical analysis on the recent exhibition at the Fondazione Marconi, based on the repetition of the famous exhibition, of the seventies, entitled La Ripetizione differente (The different repetition) the essay will analyze the repetition of already performed exhibitions. These exhibitions are not simply a historical reconstruction of the past events, but are proposed as a new and vital project of exhibitions: from When Attitudes Become Form at the Fondazione Prada in 2013, the roman exhibitions in Seventies (Contemporanea, Vitalità del Negativo etc.) re-proposed by Sartogo at MAXXI in 2014. Like in post-modern art the works were based on ancient art reviewed with a new language, in the same way, the art exhibitions, obtained reworking an already performed exhibition, become a new project.
