Marzo 1991: la residenza del gruppo Gorgona a Brunnenburg

This article aims at investigating the affirmation of the critical reception of Gorgona in Italy through a specific case study, identified in the artists residence which was attended by some members of the group at the Brunnenburg castle, near Merano, organized by the collector and publisher Francesco Conz, from Verona, in collaboration with the MSU Zagreb in 1991. The project would have resulted in an edition - which has never been finished because of several delays and the subsequent demise of Conz - and took place six years before the first monographic exhibition of the group in Italy; therefore this could be considered one of the first outbreaks of the Italian context.
