We analyze the impact of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) on the fiber nonlinear interference (NLI) in coupled-core multi-core fibers with spatial mode dispersion (SMD). Our numerical and semi-analytical results indicate that the SRS-tilt and the SMD-induced reduction of the NLI power are mostly independent effects.

Abstract
