The paper deals with the non-linear finite element modelling of post-tensioned prestressed beams in the presence of grouting defects. The beams have been modelled using shell finite elements with a smeared constitutive model for concrete and rebars. The parabolic prestressing reinforcements have been modelled individually, considering the strand-concrete bond-slip relationship. This relationship was modified to account for grouting defects in the generic section and along the strand. Finally, the model was validated by comparing the numerical results with some experimental tests characterised by different defect scenarios published in the literature.

Abstract
The paper deals with the non-linear finite element modelling of post-tensioned prestressed beams in the presence of grouting defects. The beams have been modelled using shell finite elements with a smeared constitutive model for concrete and rebars. The parabolic prestressing reinforcements have been modelled individually, considering the strand-concrete bond-slip relationship. This relationship was modified to account for grouting defects in the generic section and along the strand. Finally, the model was validated by comparing the numerical results with some experimental tests characterised by different defect scenarios published in the literature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
