This work is focused on the numerical evaluation of the effects of corrosion on the structural response of an existing Italian RC framed building designed for gravity loads only, subjected to differential settlements. To this end, nonlinear analyses are carried out on a three-dimensional FE model of the structure, by considering different corrosion levels and by progressively scaling the amplitude of the imposed based displacements. The final aim of the analyses is to identify relevant structural response parameters that can be monitored during on-site inspections, as well as to evaluate their possible variation in relation to the corrosion level of the structure

Abstract
This work is focused on the numerical evaluation of the effects of corrosion on the structural response of an existing Italian RC framed building designed for gravity loads only, subjected to differential settlements. To this end, nonlinear analyses are carried out on a three-dimensional FE model of the structure, by considering different corrosion levels and by progressively scaling the amplitude of the imposed based displacements. The final aim of the analyses is to identify relevant structural response parameters that can be monitored during on-site inspections, as well as to evaluate their possible variation in relation to the corrosion level of the structureI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
