In the current economic scenario, characterized by increasing environmental and regulatory pressures, companies are being called upon to rethink their business models to embrace the circular economy, creating closed-loop systems. These latter, in turn, can potentially enhance resilience through localization, digitalization, and collaboration. In line with these considerations, this paper develops a linear programming model, grounding on the Remanufacturing Aggregate Production Planning (RAPP) model, suitable for businesses embracing the circular economy paradigm. An application example, referring to a real company, is proposed for illustrating the usage of the model and its capability of determining the best system configuration, as well as for evaluating the effect of some input variables on the company's resilience. For this latter, appropriate metrics were identified among the model parameters. Results allow deriving interesting strategies for enhancing resilience in the targeted company.
