ProsopON (https://www.universitasparmensis.unipr.it/strumenti/repertori-online/168/) is an online database of professors who taught at the University of Parma. The database is an open access tool, easy to use for both scholars and members of the public interested in the history of the University of Parma. In its initial stages, the database currently covers the years from 1768 to 1888, the period between the Costituzione per i nuovi regj Studj and the upgrading of the Parma institution’s status to that of the major Italian universities after it had been downgraded immediately after unification.
