Starting from the application to a case study, the wooden trusses of a building located in the historic center of Parma, the contribution proposes an attempt to direct the use of H-BIM as a “guide” for the survey of relevant information and for the integration between conservative and structural aspects that derive from it. Following a brief presentation of the state of the art and of the “knowledge path” conducted on the building, the main focus is on the development of an information apparatus that is specific for the wooden components of historic buildings. The proposed customized properties help in the understanding and reception of significant information, and the preset relationships between the data facilitate the correlation among the different aspects that are necessary for a correct diagnosis – geometric and historical information, constructive details, defects and decay of wood – highlighting the “structural” implications that these entail, in order to achieve, at the end of the path, a structural assessment that takes into account the entire interdisciplinary process of knowledge.

Abstract
Starting from the application to a case study, the wooden trusses of a building located in the historic center of Parma, the contribution proposes an attempt to direct the use of H-BIM as a “guide” for the survey of relevant information and for the integration between conservative and structural aspects that derive from it. Following a brief presentation of the state of the art and of the “knowledge path” conducted on the building, the main focus is on the development of an information apparatus that is specific for the wooden components of historic buildings. The proposed customized properties help in the understanding and reception of significant information, and the preset relationships between the data facilitate the correlation among the different aspects that are necessary for a correct diagnosis – geometric and historical information, constructive details, defects and decay of wood – highlighting the “structural” implications that these entail, in order to achieve, at the end of the path, a structural assessment that takes into account the entire interdisciplinary process of knowledge.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
