Nowadays, the number of on-road electric vehicles is rapidly increasing, necessitating the development of charging stations capable of supporting the varied battery profiles of these vehicles while also supplying high power with high efficiency. Modular power converters are commonly utilized to meet the power requirements of the battery because they reduce voltage and current stress on power switches, allowing low-rated power switches to be employed. Because efficiency is crucial, modular dual active bridge (DAB) converters are commonly employed due to their soft-switching capability. This study aims to compare various performance indicators such as power conversion efficiency, power system losses, reactive current circulation in the converter, RMS inductor current, and the effect of interleaving on input/output voltage/current ripples when using different modular DAB topologies for battery charging with single phase shift (SPS) modulation. Numerical simulation-based results using MATLAB/Simulink indicate that the modular input parallel output parallel DAB converter outperforms the other modular configurations in terms of efficiency.

Abstract
Numerical simulation-based results using MATLAB/Simulink indicate that the modular input parallel output parallel DAB converter outperforms the other modular configurations in terms of efficiency.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
