In the last centuries, urban areas have been increasingly facing climate change-related thermal stresses and extreme events. Within this context, soil de-sealing might become a relevant strategy in urban adaptation processes. This paper aims to reflect on the outcomes of an applied research experience with Third Mission traits, within the project “Green in Parma”. The initiative, promoted in 2021 by voluntary organizations, private companies, and the University of Parma, aims to increase urban resilience by intervening on green areas. It was divided in a first dissemination module, followed by a participatory co-design module of a pilot de-sealing intervention in a chosen area of a parish (i.e., a private area with neighborhood centrality features). The purpose of this contribution is to investigate the role of de-sealing in the participatory processes, to face the impacts of climate change with a bottom-up logic.

Abstract
The purpose of this contribution is to investigate the role of de-sealing in the participatory processes, to face the impacts of climate change with a bottom-up logic.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
