This paper analyzes the parallel between Ar. Thesm. 517-530 and Eur. fr. 711 Kann. and aims to extend the evidence for intertextual connections between Aristophanes' text and Archilochus (fr. 122 W.). It offers an example of Aristophanes' use of ancient lyric, especially iambography, in his plays.
