Hipponax was carefully analysed and studied by ancient Greek scholars. The richness of the papyrological documentation reveals a high number of glosses, interlinear notes and also part of a full commentary (P.Oxy. XVIII 2176). The hypomnema was copied in a neat upright semi-angular bookhand and it is possible to date it around the end of the 1st or the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. It shows remarkable similarities with a group of fragments ascribed by scholars to the so-called Scribe A19.

Abstract
Hipponax was carefully analysed and studied by ancient Greek scholars. The richness of the papyrological documentation reveals a high number of glosses, interlinear notes and also part of a full commentary (P.Oxy. XVIII 2176). The hypomnema was copied in a neat upright semi-angular bookhand and it is possible to date it around the end of the 1st or the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. It shows remarkable similarities with a group of fragments ascribed by scholars to the so-called Scribe A19.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
