The contribution aims to investigate the nature of the short play, handed down in most of the manuscripts as an integral part of Goffredo di Vinsauf’s Poetria Nova, and to highlight its stylistic, rhetorical aspects and possible references to classical comedy (Terenzio in particular) and / or to the auctores in general.
