This paper presents an investigation on the flexural capacity of full-scale prestressed concrete (PC) beams, without transversal reinforcement and naturally corroded for 10 years. Before tests, a visual inspection was carried out to detect the damages induced by corrosion. During the three-point bending tests, displacements and strains were measured recording images and post-processing data by using digital image correlation (DIC). After the tests, strands were removed from beams revealing high level of corrosion in correspondence of damage previously detected. Moreover, results show that the flexural capacity of naturally corroded PC beams due to chloride attach is strongly reduced both in terms of resistance and ductility.
