Squamous cell carcinoma of the penis (SCC) is a rare malignant neoplasia of the penis. These tumors usually are observed at an advanced clinical stage and is associated with a poor prognosis. The Authors report a case of SCC appeared in a 53 years, old male. Total penectomy, and bilateral ilioinguinal lymphadenectomy was performed in consequence of the advanced clinical stage of the lesion. Current concepts about classification, diagnosis and treatment are presented; moreover the Authors underline the importance of an early diagnosis.
