Bi(2)S(3) colloidal nanocrystals have been synthesized through a heterogeneous gram-scale hot-injection method yielding a low-polydispersity, shape-controlled product (dots or rods). Plasma polymerization of nanocrystal assemblies into flexible films is demonstrated (see figure) and characterized.
