Abstract
The urgency of the problem is caused by the increase in the number of people with special needs and disabilities (disabled people). The purpose is to analyze the possibilities of facilitating the adaptation of persons with disabilities to life with disabilities. Materials and research methods. A systematic analysis of existing technologies and tools that can facilitate the lives of people with disabilities has been used to achieve this goal. Results. Those who are in a condition of disability, often rely on a help or a technological tool to reduce certain deficit. But what is an aid and what are the aids? We can understand under this term technologies, tools, objects, adaptations, communication codes that in certain contexts play a facilitating role in the life of a person or a community. Aid is a mediator between man and the environment, between a person with a disability and his life contexts. Often the aid is a mediator between those who face a deficit and his abilities, desires, identity and belongings. There are standardized and other more personal aids, typical aids and other more creative ones that represent new, innovative solutions created by the same people with disabilities but also by their family members, by educators and by the teachers who accompany them and by those who are attentive to their daily lives. The aids are a support, a scaffolding enabling to facilitate person’s path of life and participation, which allow to facilitate the learning and especially the schooling process. Conclusion. Modern technologies are able to significantly improve the ability to adapt to the lives of people with disabilities.
