Abstract

Phosphate glass compositions are widely exploited in photonics as promising laser host materials thanks to to their excellent optical properties. Moreover many Calcium-Phosphate Glass (CPGs) compositions have been widely studied as bioresorbable materials since 1981 and used in various applications for hard and soft tissue regeneration. Only few works have investigates the optical properties of bioresorbable CPGs(5) and even less have attempted to combine bioresorbability and optical functionalities together. In this work we developed two compositions of CPGs, they proved to be homogeneous, stable against devitrification and transparent from 300 to 2600 nm as assessed by UV-VIS/NIR spectroscopy.
