The research moves from two consideration. First of all that “pedagogical documentation” in Italy becomes formally a methodological element of professional practice in preschools since 1991. Secondly that the digitalization of documentation materials produced from schools can give advantages to teachers. The aim of the research presented has been at constructing and implementing a data base of educational experiences in preschools.In the paper are illustrated and discussed the steps for constructing that data base and its structure. The first step, focusing on preschool teachers’ opinions about documentation, is presented and discussed.
