Abstract
Music information retrieval systems represent a field of research enjoying increasing interest since musical documents are particularly appreciated by a wider public, and also because these IR systems show how it is possible to find a song extracting information from music audio, according to the principles of Multimedia Information Retrieval (MIR). To better highlight logical, technological, and social issues of music information retrieval, this essay examines the case of SoundHound, one of the most advanced and widespread services in this category of applications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
