Abstract: My aim in this essay is that of situating Cacciari’s thought about Il potere che frena within the larger context of his major works. Special attention will be devoted to a comparison between Cacciari’s reading of some themes from Kafka, as developed in Icone della Legge, and his considerations about the modern path of the “Political”. In the end, some intimations at an alternative reconstruction will be advanced.
