A high resolution P-wave seismic reflection and refraction survey was carried out in the foothill area of the Verona Province - Northern Italy. The objectives of the survey were to investigate structure and stratigraphy of near-surface Tertial)' and Quaternary deposits and to develop a working procedure for landslide assessment using both refraction and reflection techniques. Raw reflection gathers exhibiting very poor signal to noise ratio were recorded. FK-filter and post stack FX-deconvolution proved to be efficient techniques in order to enhance primary event coherency and generate a stacked section with reflecting horizons delineated. Good quality refraction data were recorded already in the field, optimized band pass filter helped to pick first breaks in the far offset. The integrated 3D model outlined the geometries of the bedrock and suggested the thickness of Quaternary deposits involved in a earth flow landslide
