Abnormalities of the canine prostate gland, particularly the benign hyperplasia and cysts, are frequently in dogs over five years. Dog prostatic diseases including benign hyperplasia, prostatitis, abscesses, cysts, paraprostatic cyst, haematoma and neoplasia. The treatment of prostatic cysts include the echo-guided drainage associated with alcohol introduction, surgery reduction of cysts and omentalization. Orchiectomy associated to medical, surgery and mini-invasive treatment is a good procedure. The aim of this study is to evaluate the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for the treatment of prostatic cysts in dog. Five mixed breed adult male dogs were included in the experimental study. We performed a echo-guided drainage of cysts and we introduce the PRP, under ultrasonographic guide with a 21G spinal needle. The dose of PRP was the half of the solution drained to the cyst. The prostate were controlled 6, 12, 24, 60 days after the introduction of PRP. No side effects were observed during the drainage and introduction of PRP. After the introduction of PRP the cysts appeared hypoechoic. On the sixth day the cysts appeared hypoechoic with margins still identifiable. At follow-up at 24 and 60 days the cysts were no longer detectable.
