Abstract: We present the result of an investigation about behaviour of ‘young teachers’ as regards to their mathematical and pedagogical knowledge. We administered a questionnaire to a sample of ‘new teachers’ and to a sample of ‘prospective teachers’ related to geometric problems for fourth grades children of primary school. Our aim was to investigate whether the presence and role of a-priori analysis of a mathematical task is a suitable working tool for them.
