This, the sixth annual appointment of the Kent State Forum on the City, held at Kent State University of Florence (Italy) in October 2011, was dedicated to CittaEmilia, in other words, not to a specific city (as in past editions of the Forum) but to a particular type of city. A complex metropolitan urban form that has become known over the last few decades as one of the most dynamic and advanced regions of Europe.
