Abstract

The Noahide Laws, which comprehend the six laws which were given to Adam in the Gan Eden (according to the Talmud’s interpretation of Gen. 2:16) and a seventh one, which was added after the Flood, as quoted in Talmud Sanhedrin 56a: -seven precepts were the sons of Noah commanded: social laws; to refrain from blasphemy, idolatry; adultery; bloodshed; robbery; and eating flesh cut from a living animal. -apply to all humanity (In Judaism, בני נח Beney Noah “Children/Descendants of Noah” refers to all of mankind) through its descent from one paternal ancestor. The contribution aims to present the contents of Noachidism also in relationship with the three Monotheist Religions, discussing the possible (also from the point of view of an inter-religious perspective of the human rights) universality of this first idea of a general religion, ethics, Weltanschauung for the whole humanity.
