The analysis of the Marxist critique of sociobioloy shows that the epistemological premises of this very critique are mainly culturalistic. They are focussed on the genetic determinism of the theoretical answers of sociobiology, and do not recognize the relevance of the questions posed by sociobioloogy, i.e., the questions concerning the living nature of human sociality, which can also have theoretical developments different from that of genetic determinism.

Abstract

The analysis of the Marxist critique of sociobioloy shows that the epistemological premises of this very critique are mainly culturalistic. They are focussed on the genetic determinism of the theoretical answers of sociobiology, and do not recognize the relevance of the questions posed by sociobioloogy, i.e., the questions concerning the living nature of human sociality, which can also have theoretical developments different from that of genetic determinism.
