The chromatographic behaviour of some monosubstituted derivatives of the tetranuclear cluster (Cp)NiOs3 (μH)3(CO)9 (Cp = cyclopentadienyl) with groupVdonorligands (benzonitrile tertiary phosphines, triphenylamine and triphenylstibine) is reported. In reversed-phase and adsorption liquid chromatography, the kind of the substituents strongly influences the retention volumes, the dimension of the whole cluster having less effect. Correlations of retention volumes with the nature of the substituents were found only for small of compounds

Abstract

The chromatographic behaviour of some monosubstituted derivatives of the tetranuclear cluster (Cp)NiOs3 (μH)3(CO)9 (Cp = cyclopentadienyl) with groupVdonorligands (benzonitrile tertiary phosphines, triphenylamine and triphenylstibine) is reported. In reversed-phase and adsorption liquid chromatography, the kind of the substituents strongly influences the retention volumes, the dimension of the whole cluster having less effect. Correlations of retention volumes with the nature of the substituents were found only for small of compounds
