Groups of pregnant sows were observed during feeding in order to determine differences in feeding tactics between individuals. The aninals were ~80 days into gestation and their social hierarchy was already stable. For each feeding episode of the most high- and low-ranking sows, the time elapsing from the start of observation and the duration was noted.
