The effects of the magnetic anisotropy of the two sublattices on both the critical field intensities and the order of spin-flop transitions exhibited by a ferrimagnetic crystal free to rotate in a high magnetic field are examined. The analytical expressions of the critical fields and the stability of the system are analysed through power expansion of the equilibrium equations in the neighbourhood of the transition point. The peculiar case of equal sublattice anisotropies is treated.

Abstract
The effects of the magnetic anisotropy of the two sublattices on both the critical field intensities and the order of spin-flop transitions exhibited by a ferrimagnetic crystal free to rotate in a high magnetic field are examined. The analytical expressions of the critical fields and the stability of the system are analysed through power expansion of the equilibrium equations in the neighbourhood of the transition point. The peculiar case of equal sublattice anisotropies is treated.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
