The vertical aesthetic control in orthognatic surgery depends from a wide number of factors. Some of these factors are under the orthodontist’s control, some other under the maxillo-facial surgeon’s control. Because of the complexity of these number of factors author does not believe possible or useful to suggest general outlines of treatment, he only recommends to deeply integrate orthodontist’s and surgeon’s treatment program in every single case. Author presents some clinical cases to illustrate these concepts.
