Abstract: This article offers a refined edition of the recipe penned on the back of the Anonymus Londinensis papyrus and explores the relationship between the prescription and the treatise copied on the front. The recipe consists of a mixture of cathartic drugs (scammonea, agaricum, bdellium and gum Arabic) which was also recommended by Galen, de methodo medendi (X 374, 9-14 Kühn).
