A. Losev et P. Florenski. La rencontre de la philosophie du langage et de l’onomatodoxie (glorification du Nom)

Maria Candida GHIDINI The meeting of the philosophy of language and of the onomatodoxy (glorification of the Name) The prevailing paradigm of modern times can be qualified as a pan-semiotic, anti-referential hypothesis, which challenges the possibility of the perception of reality without the medium of signs, without the action of categoriality. The Russian philosophers at the beginning of the 20th century, such as P.A. Florenski, S.N. Bulgakov and A.F. Losev, opted for another way, in their theory of the Name (and above all of the proper Name): they showed the possibility of a correspondence between the sign and the object, the transformation of the sign into a norepresenting symbol, somehow linked to the object named. The may have felt this link as a utopia, or as some lost inheritance, some faculty lost through culture, it behoves one to regret. Hence the interest of Florenski, Bulgakov, Ern and later of Losev for the glorification of the Name. La modernità potrebbe essere definita come un paradigma pansemiotico e antireferenziale che mette in dubbio la possibilità di accostarsi alla realtà senza la mediazione del segno, senza l'azione della categorialità. Una parte importante della filosofia russa dell'inizio del XX secolo, invece, (P.A. Florenskij, S.N. Bulgakov, A.F. Losev) scelsero un'altra via, sposando la teoria del Nome: partirono dalla corrispondenza tra segno e oggetto, trasformando il segno in simbolo, partecipe in qualche modo dell'oggetto designati. Tale nesso tra realtà e linguaggio, tra nome e cosa è sentito come un'eredità feconda, dimenticata dalla modernità ma sopravvisuta in nicchie particolari come l'omatodossia.
