Munchausen's syndrome by proxy (MBPS) is a form of childhood abuse in which a parent fabricates in his/her own child false symptoms to obtain hospital admittance, unnecessary clinical investigations, and sugical interventions.1 The recent exponential growth of health-related web sites and the consequent free access to medical protocols without any direct contact with a physician could allow the perpetrators of MBPS to endlessley expand their imagination, with disastrous consequences for a child. We describe here a case2 of MBPS perpetrated by a father who was addicted to health web sites.

We describe here a case2 of MBPS perpetrated by a father who was addicted to health web sites.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
