This paper presents the application of an evolutionary technique to lane markings detection in road environments. The aim is the localization of the path in images acquired by avision system installed on-board of a vehicle for driving assistance or automation purposes. The first step of the procedure is the removal of the perspective effect from the images. The resulting bird’s eye view image is analyzed by means of ant agents able to locate the lane markings
