Abstract: We present an experiment conducted in 7 fifth grade classes of primary school (10 years old children) about problem solving activities. The experiment involving 99 pupils aimed at bettering pupil’s attitude towards mathematics and improve their outcome in problem solving. The tools used in the experiment have been Transalpime Mathematical Rally non-standard problems in a cooperative learning classroom environment.
