The work has been focused on the study of C-C bond formation reactions, such as nitroaldol and Michael reactions, catalyzed by organic bases supported on silica. The synthetic processes were then performed applying a new reaction set up based on packed-bed, monolithic or micro-structured catalytic reactors under continuous-flow conditions.
