The p-energy of Sobolev maps from Finsler to Riemannian manifolds is studied. In particular, the relaxed p-energy and its implications for maps with values in the p-sphere (p integer, greater ore qual than 2) are discussed. The related bubbling-off phenomenon is also analyzed.
