394 tombs from the necropolis of Piazza Corrubbio have been excavated between 2009 and 2010 (in two separate field seasons) in the heart of the city of Verona-Italy. We could record the presence of different burial typologies: ‘cappuccina’, in amphora, in brick coffins, in stone coffins and burials simply dug in the ground. The area shows a long period of exploitation as a burial area that has been recently dated through a whole set of radiocarbon dates. The palaeobiological, palaeopathological and palaeonutritional (stable isotopes) study of the population, together with the archaeological data of this context, are presented in this paper.
