The paper focuses on the international network established by Luciano Caruso and the Continuum group in the late 1960s and the early 1970s with several important Belgian avant-garde magazines: "Labris" (Lier, 1962–1973), "Phantomas" (Brussels, 1953–1980), and "Aménophis" (Brussels, 1968–1985), periodicals that can now all be accessed on the Luciano Caruso Archive. The aim of the study is to reconsider, through Caruso’s lens, the specific role played by the neo-avantgarde in Naples in developing a new axis of collaboration between Italy and Belgium from the late 1960s. This bond of cooperation had already been partially activated at the end of the previous decade by the artists and poets gravitating around the magazine "Documento Sud" (Naples, 1959–1961). Caruso and the Continuum group reinforced these links with a critical and iconic shift towards the verbovisual languages, promoting a global and engaged vision of artistic expression that calls into question any codified scheme of thought and aesthetic action.
