O estudo reavalia, assim, a relevância literária e cultural desta relação editorial e epistolar.
This article revisits Fernando Pessoa’s contributions to the Coimbra-based journal Presença (1927-1934), analyzing forty-seven texts—poetry, prose, notes, and translations—published during and after his lifetime. Beyond a quantitative survey, the study examines the poet’s strategies and intentions, highlighting how Pessoa used Presença to articulate his poetics of “feigning” and to test programmatic positions within Portuguese Modernism. By situating these collaborations within their editorial and epistolary context, the article reassesses the literary and cultural significance of Pessoa’s dialogue with the second modernist generation.

Beyond a quantitative survey, the study examines the poet’s strategies and intentions, highlighting how Pessoa used Presença to articulate his poetics of “feigning” and to test programmatic positions within Portuguese Modernism. By situating these collaborations within their editorial and epistolary context, the article reassesses the literary and cultural significance of Pessoa’s dialogue with the second modernist generation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
