This edited volume explores how political language shapes contemporary ideological conflict in Italy. Through a series of essays analysing key political terms, the contributors examine how right-wing actors have appropriated or reshaped common political vocabulary and how progressive forces might reclaim these concepts. Combining political theory, discourse analysis and empirical research on popular perceptions of politics, the book proposes strategies for rebuilding progressive hegemony by reinterpreting everyday political language and reconnecting with popular constituencies.
