The body, in its emergence as a question within a Posthumanism still in progress, can be profitably investigated with the use of the metaphorical register. The reflection of Michel Serres, in which the metaphor plays a leading role, allows it to be taken as the terrain of the very theme of the body and/in Posthumanism. In this direction, an excursus takes places among some of the most significant Serresian metaphors of the body (seaweed, bots, prow, trunk), which returns to an overall body that is increasingly more dimension of man, in the context of the posthumanist need of integral redefinition of the notion of man.

Abstract
The body, in its emergence as a question within a Posthumanism still in progress, can be profitably investigated with the use of the metaphorical register. The reflection of Michel Serres, in which the metaphor plays a leading role, allows it to be taken as the terrain of the very theme of the body and/in Posthumanism. In this direction, an excursus takes places among some of the most significant Serresian metaphors of the body (seaweed, bots, prow, trunk), which returns to an overall body that is increasingly more dimension of man, in the context of the posthumanist need of integral redefinition of the notion of man.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
