Industrial hydraulic circuits are generally characterized by the presence of several curves, elbows, valves, junctions, manometers, flow meters, with dominance of concentrated losses on distributed losses. In most cases, pumps transfer power to the current, and one of the possible aim is transfer of power through the current. Calculations are similar to those for the cases of civil hydraulic circuits, paying more attention to the economic design of the components, in case of a new project. Some examples of hydraulic industrial circuits are also present in cars, as cooling circuits. In many cases, the circuits are closed, without variations of the elevation head.

Abstract

Industrial hydraulic circuits are generally characterized by the presence of several curves, elbows, valves, junctions, manometers, flow meters, with dominance of concentrated losses on distributed losses. In most cases, pumps transfer power to the current, and one of the possible aim is transfer of power through the current. Calculations are similar to those for the cases of civil hydraulic circuits, paying more attention to the economic design of the components, in case of a new project. Some examples of hydraulic industrial circuits are also present in cars, as cooling circuits. In many cases, the circuits are closed, without variations of the elevation head.
