A Systematic Approach to Interpretation and Translation - Case studies

This volume aims at providing readers with a methodical approach to the interpretation and translation of various textual types. The two models presented here thus systematise the different phases the processes of decoding and recoding entail. The book will then provide a series of case studies where a variety of texts (ranging from literary texts such as novels and narrative poems, to popular products like films, comics, advertisements, television series, graphic novels, etc.) are analysed according to these models. The critical perspectives adopted are equally diversified and provide readers with specific tools beneficial to the interpretation of all those elements which (in spite of being often unsaid), characterise the ‘texts’ that shape our world.
