The aim of this issue is to investigate Orientalism as one of the most important and fertile zones of transits, exchanges and transferences within Romantic-period literature and culture. The essays will consider a variety of expressions and representations of the East-West relations and cross-fertilization, as well as diverse forms of transference made possible by an orientalist matrix. The different contributions intend to propose new perspectives and highlight new directions in Romantic orientalist studies.
