This chapter discusses the fact that specialized languages are increasingly intruding into in mass and popular products, emphasizing the fact that this aspect should be considered not only from a quantitative point of view but also, from a qualitative one. This is the reason why we need new categories in order to be able to analyze specialized (popular) languages in detail. Thus, in order to consider these occurrences as specialized languages to all effects, the chapter suggests we could refer to the notion of “fuzzy set” which was introduced in 1965 by engineer Lotfi Zadeh.

Abstract
This chapter discusses the fact that specialized languages are increasingly intruding into in mass and popular products, emphasizing the fact that this aspect should be considered not only from a quantitative point of view but also, from a qualitative one. This is the reason why we need new categories in order to be able to analyze specialized (popular) languages in detail. Thus, in order to consider these occurrences as specialized languages to all effects, the chapter suggests we could refer to the notion of “fuzzy set” which was introduced in 1965 by engineer Lotfi Zadeh.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
