Abstract
Hermnine Gerbore (1885-1950) represents from many points of view the emblem of the Aosta Valley emigrant, between the end of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth. Settled in Paris, because of the difficult economical conditions of his family, she becomes a French teacher and, during the long exile (some thirty years), she teaches French to earn her living. She has the opportunity to go to New-York and to Alexandry of Egypt, but she'll never forget the Aosta Valley, remaining faithful to the culturel inheritance of his origin. The present volume gathers the poems, written by Hermine Gerbore in French and in patois, in the course of her life and scattered in different reviews, the most important of which is "La Vallée d'Aoste" by Auguste Petigat.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
